Find A Carer is owned by Find A Carer Pty Ltd and managed by myself Jessica Brito, together with my husband Andrew.  The idea to create the Find A Carer website came about when Andrew's father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease, and it became apparent that the only way he could remain living in his own home would be with the help of carers.  The task of finding suitable carers was often time consuming and difficult, and could be quite stressful.  We thought there had to be an easier, more effective way to find carers and so Find A Carer was established.  

Andrew went back to school and became a qualified carer with a Certificate III in Aged Care as well as Home and Community Care.  He has experience working with people affected by Alzheimer's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinsons, Acquired Brain Injuries as well as children with special needs such as Autism, Aspergers, Cystic Fibrosis and various other conditions.  Working as a carer in both private homes and residential facilities only strengthened Andrew's resolve to make the process of finding carers easier, and more accessible for people who want to remain living in their own homes for as long as possible.  

Shopping for groceries, travelling to doctor's appointments, cooking, cleaning, domestic work, personal care and not to mention loneliness are just some of the challenges faced by the elderly and people living with a disability.  Find A Carer is designed to make it as easy as possible to find care and support, and hopes to be able to minimise much of the associated stresses and strains that can sometimes accompany such a responsibility.
