I am currently working as a Teacher Aide at a special needs school. I am also involved within Special Olympics Australia, and I have recently undertaken the roll as Co-Ordinator for basketball within the Brisbane East Region. I recently went to Cairns in October with Special Olympics where both basketball teams came back with a medal. Because of this commitment I am unavailable to work Tuesdays (I may be available to work Tuesday nights through to Wednesday mornings if needed) and I am also unable to work Saturday mornings however I am available to work from 12:30 onwards an a Saturday. I work at Darling Point Special School Monday - Friday 8:45 - 3:00 and will therefore be available to work any time outside of these hours other than Tuesdays and Saturday mornings as outlined above. During the School holidays I am available to work all day throughout the holidays.

I previously looked after my father at home until he passed in 2011.
I did showering, cooking,cleaning,medications and trips out to keep him
involved in the community. Presently studying cert 111 disability and in receipt of police check and blue card. Recertification of first aid on 16 th February 2013. Now have my first aid and CPR.

I am a 53 year old woman & I hold a current driver's license and a fully comprehensibly insured reliable car. I hold a current Police Check, a current First Aid & CPR Certificate, Blue Card & a Disability Services Positive Notice Card. Much of my adult life has been involved in care work in one form or another,these challenges range from Aged, Disabled, Autistic,Dementia or Alzheimer's & the associated challenges that come with being at a disadvantage in our society. I have also recently completed an upgrade of my skills. I have been working as an community care emergency relief worker for an agency. I have no preference with the hours I work , be it weekend, workday &/or weekend, workday sleepover work, I am willing to work any shifts but I am looking for consistency. Being the emergency relief for the agency was a position that required that I have many skills in many areas as each position is a new challenge.
