My name is Lauren, I am a 22 year old first year nursing student. I am great with kids and really easy to get along with. I love caring and looking after people, I am a very passionate and giving person and I will go out of my way just to make sure I do everything possible to help out and make other people happy. I am a very happy, positive and fun person. Love to have a good laugh and joke but still do an amazing job when I am working. I am able to clean, do house duties, cook (I am a really good one too!), look after personal care, offer company, take for outings, have a good chat with and in general just be a friend. I have my licence and own transport. I love animals and I don't mind travelling for the job. Helping people out and making a difference to other peoples lives really makes me happy and it is what I love to do! Hi I am 48 and live in South Guildford and have done so for 13 years. I am a carer for kids with special needs and the disabled.
At the moment I am caring for a 6 year old autistic boy,he is non verbal and in a wheel chair, this little guy is the love of my life and amazes me all the time.My duties with this little boy include, bathing, feeding, administrating medications, toileting and generally playing with him and making him smile.
I also care for a 30 year old disabled young man, who sustained severe head trauma due to a car accident when he was 7 years old.
I have also cared for children with cerebral palsy and tuberous sclerosis.
I am a very happy. positive bubbly person who gets a great deal of enjoyment knowing I am making a difference in peoples life and I am.
The families of the kids I have cared for have all loved me as I bring a lot of happiness and fun to their homes.

I am a speech pathology student with an academic background in politics and international relations. I have excellent written and spoken communication skills, and have tutored in English and English Literature in the past.
I am reliable and have excellent interpersonal skills, and interact well with a variety of different people of different ages and abilities. I enjoy employment as a support worker as I am a passionate advocate for people with disabilities, plus I find fulfilment in working with clients one-on-one or in small groups.
Although the majority of my experience is in working with clients with quadriplegia, I would prefer to work in a companionship role with people with intellectual impairments, as these are the types of clients I will be more likely to encounter as a speech pathologist.
As I am currently attending university part-time, my schedule is flexible, aside from attending classes a couple of times per week. Ideally, I would prefer shifts for a minimum of four hours, and I would be delighted to do overnight shifts.

I am currently a nursing student at ECU and I am loving it. I thoroughly enjoy caring for others when they are no longer able to and it is the most fulfilling job.
