Find a Carer, Australia’s trusted and inclusive care marketplace, is proud to announce the appointment of Brad Kearns as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Brad steps into the role with a powerful blend of frontline service, strategic leadership, and innovation experience in the care sector – all deeply aligned with the mission and values of Find a Carer.
Brad brings a diverse and mission-driven background to the role, with experience spanning policing, military leadership, health and aged care innovation, and workforce transformation. Beginning his career as a Police Officer with the New South Wales Police Force, Brad went on to complete military leadership training at the Royal Military College Duntroon as a member of the Australian Army.
His professional journey has since taken him through leadership roles in the fitness industry and most recently Uniting NSW.ACT, where he held key positions across the Seniors Services and Shared Services portfolios. There, he drove initiatives in client growth, workforce planning and operational transformation –all of which speak to his passion for meaningful impact in the care sector.
Brad is also a serial founder of care-focused start-ups, delivering real-world solutions in contingent labour, in-home care technology and data-led workforce planning. His innovations include Medinotation, an in-home technology solution for care environments, and Workframe, a strategic workforce planning platform that leverages major HRIS platforms and AI to streamline the planning process
Known as a hands-on and values-led leader, Brad brings a deep understanding of data and technology, and a vision for scalable, systemic solutions to some of the care sector’s most complex challenges.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Find a Carer at such a pivotal time,” Brad said.
“The platform is already a vital part of the care community, and I’m looking forward to building on that foundation – expanding our reach, deepening our impact, and ensuring care remains accessible, safe, and human,” he said.
This leadership transition also marks the close of an important chapter with the departure of former CEO, Zubin Appoo. Zubin played an instrumental role in shaping Find a Carer into a platform trusted by families and carers across Australia. His vision and values have helped lay the groundwork for what comes next.
Saviour Buhagiar, Uniting NSW.ACT’s Director of Seniors Services and Find a Carer Board Member said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Brad to Find a Carer. His unique blend of frontline service, strategic leadership, and entrepreneurial innovation makes him an ideal choice to lead our next chapter.
“Brad brings deep sector insight and a growth-focused mindset that aligns perfectly with our mission to make care more accessible, inclusive, and human.
“We’re excited for what’s ahead and confident in the impact Brad will bring,” Saviour said.
The Board and team at Find a Carer extend our heartfelt thanks to Zubin for his extraordinary leadership, unwavering commitment, and care-first philosophy that continues to guide our purpose.
As Brad takes the helm, Find a Carer enters an exciting new phase – focused on sustainable growth, innovation, and deepening our commitment to equity, inclusion and community-led care.
