September 2025 Update

Coming Soon

These changes we plan to roll out within the next four weeks or so

Remove auto-completion for Carer timesheets

    • What’s changing: Timesheets will no longer auto-complete. Carers must complete and submit all timesheets themselves.

    • Why: This ensures accuracy and prevents errors that could cause incorrect payments.

    • Action required: Carers must submit each timesheet after a booking is completed to receive payment.

Enable fast pay for all Carers

    • What’s changing: Once a carer submits a timesheet and it is approved by the client, you’ll be paid immediately – even if the client hasn’t yet paid Find a Carer.

    • Why: Improve cash flow and provides certainty of payment for carers.

    • Action required: None – beyond submitting accurate timesheets.

Mandatory ABNs for all Carers

    • What’s changing: Independent carers and carer organisations (i.e. agencies) must provide a valid ABN on sign up which will be validated against the Australian Government ABN register. The legal entity name, GST registration status and any business names (i.e. trading names) will also be recorded.
      • Note: carers who exist as employees of a carer organisation in our platform do not need to provide individual ABNs as the carer organisation’s ABN they are associated with will be used instead.

    • Why: To ensure compliance with GST and payroll tax obligations, and to improve transparency for clients.

    • Action required: Carers must add and validate your ABN details in the portal by 1 November 2025. You can also add a business name that will appear to clients.

Clients must review and approve timesheets before payment

    • What’s changing: When a carer submits a timesheet, the client will have two business days to review it. You can:
        • Approve the timesheet, or

        • Raise a dispute (with a reason) if you believe something is incorrect, which alerts the carer to review and adjust.

    • Why: Improves transparency and accuracy for all users and ensures clients only pay for approved and correct timesheets.

    • Action required: Clients must review all timesheets submitted to them within the two-day period. If you take no action, they will auto-approve.

Clients can set maximum job rates

    • What’s changing: Clients can set maximum rates for individual jobs, or set global rates in their profile (which auto-fill for all new jobs).

    • Why: Gives clients more control over costs and makes rates clear for carers upfront.

    • Action required: Optional – clients can update job listing so their profile if they want to set job rates.

Coming Later

These changes we plan to roll out within the next 3 months or so

    • Better controls for alerts and notifications for all users so they can choose what kinds of alerts they are interested in receiving and how they want to receive them

    • Updates and changes to our portal user interface, including a fully mobile-friendly design and improvements to navigation and usability across the portal for all users
