For Carers

Find a Carer is an online community where Individual Carers like you can connect easily with older Australians and people with disability. You can:

• Choose your own hourly rate, work type, location and schedule working as an independent contractor.
• Be covered by our group public liability, professional indemnity and personal accident insurances.
• Service bookings and payments are managed through the Find a Carer Website automatically with full transparency.
• Find a Carer adds a 12.5% mark up to your hourly rate which is paid by the client.
• A merchant fee of 2.5% is deducted from your payment to cover bank charges.

To register you will need the following:

• An electronic copy of your recent police check (must be less than 3 years old).
• An electronic copy of your photo ID eg drivers licence (both sides).
• An electronic copy of any relevant certificates e.g. Certificate III in Individual Support.
• Your ABN (Australian Business Number). If you do not have one please read.
• An electronic copy of a valid Working With Children’s Check or equivalent (if you are planning to work with children).

For Service Providers

Find a Carer is committed to working together with existing Service Providers to offer increased choice and the best care for older people and people with disability. While Individual Carers will play a role in the sector, it is the Service Providers that will continue to offer a broader range and different services.

Via Find a Carer you can:

• Quickly and easily search our large database of casual carers.
• Avoid expensive agency fees (we are not an agency).
• Post your shift requirements to nearby casual carers.
• Great value carer rates from $25-35 per hour on average.
• Book your ideal carer and pay through the Find a Carer website.
• All carers are covered by our group public liability, professional indemnity and personal accident insurances.
