Statement of Rights
Supporting dignity, safety and respect
Find a Carer supports environments where care recipients are treated with dignity, respect and safety.
We recognise the rights of individuals receiving care and the importance of ensuring those rights are upheld across all care settings.
The rights of care recipients
Individuals receiving aged care services have the right to be treated with dignity, receive safe care, and have their concerns taken seriously.
The rights of care recipients
Individuals receiving aged care services have the right to:
- be treated with dignity and respect
- receive safe, high-quality care and services
- have their identity, culture and diversity recognised and valued
- make decisions about their care and personal life
- have their privacy respected and personal information protected
- raise concerns or make complaints without fear of reprisal
- have those concerns taken seriously and addressed
How Find a Carer supports this
Find a Carer does not deliver care services.
We support providers by strengthening workforce coordination, improving visibility and enabling more structured responses to workforce demand.
This supports more stable environments where care can be delivered safely and consistently.
Provider responsibility
Approved providers remain responsible for:
- care delivery
- compliance with care standards
- upholding the rights of care recipients
Find a Carer operates alongside providers, supporting coordination while governance and accountability remain with the provider.
Raising concerns
If you have concerns about care, you can:
- raise them directly with the provider
- submit a complaint through Find a Carer
We support structured pathways to ensure concerns are documented, visible and directed appropriately.
